My Birthday & Halloween Festivities

Last Friday was my 25th birthday. It was spent working, going to lunch with friends, scrambling for a last minute Halloween costume, and going to the Colledge's Annual Halloween party at Wadley Farms. We went as the hippie, flight attendant, and lady bug. While we were there we saw Olive Oil, Popeye, & Minnie Mouse.

HALLOWEEN PARTY
For Halloween, Payden was a lady bug. We took her trick-or-treating to all the grandparents and great-grandparent's homes. By the time we went to the last home, (Great-Grandma Marcon) Payden was done with her costume. On the drive over I thought she was asleep under her car seat tent. When we arrived and I went to get her out, I realized she had been conspiring against me. She had ripped off her headband taken the antennas out and was proceeding to eat her costume. Luckily, I was able to put it back together for one last picture. She was a good sport!

PAYDEN THE LADY BUG
(Oh yea, I made her whole costume, except for the shirt and headband.)

Scarecrow Festival 2009

We went to the Thanksgiving Point Scarecrow Festival with the Howells. I think Amanda and I got more out of it then the kids. We played in the bounce houses, rode the train and overpaid for gross food. Afterward we went to the new Smith's market place for treats and a movie. It was a good night. Thanks Amanda and Tim.

Payden's 6 Month Stats

Payden hit 6 months a couple weeks ago and just had her doctor appointment. Here are her stats:

Weight: 14.4 lb 16%tile
Height: 24.5 in 8.5%tile

This is what she's doing:
* Army crawling EVERYWHERE
* Pulling herself up to stand in her crib and on stairs
* Babbling & Squealing
* Gets on hands and knees to crawl but still reverts back to army-style
* Sits on her own for short periods (prefers to be on the move)
* Eating solids 1-2 times a day and loves it
* Recognizes her own name
* Has come to terms with her car seat and sometimes even likes it
* Rolls from back to tummy and tummy to back
* Sleeps 10-12 hours at night
* Finds her binky and puts it in her mouth
* Laughs when Alley sits next to her and tries to catch her
* She loves baths, anything she can put in her mouth, plastic bags, paper, cell phones, Alley, Daddy, and anyone that gives her attention.

We love all the personality she's brought to our family. She makes us laugh everyday.

We had her 6 month pictures taken by Caroline Rebecca Photography go here to see the rest of them.

Keola's Homecoming

My youngest brother Keola just finished serving 2 years in the Texas, Dallas LDS mission. We picked him up last Wednesday and then went straight to the Lake for some wake boarding and wake surfing. After that we had dinner at Tucano's. I'm so grateful for Keola's example and to have the whole family home again.
