Payden 11 Months

Well the months just keep flying by, and in a couple weeks our girl is going to be 1! She has started doing so much since she turned 11 months that I need to get it all down:

*She is walking! It started almost exactly at 11 months. It is now her main transportation. She can't stand up on her own yet so she uses EVERYTHING to pull herself up and then hobbles on her way. It's funny to watch her because she is still so little.

*She waves and says, "Hi" & "Bye". She will say Hi when the phone rings, when we walk into the house or into a store or when she sees my Mom. She will say bye and wave on demand and anytime she thinks she is leaving somewhere. She was so ready to leave Caroline's Photography Studio last week that she kept waving and saying bye over and over again.

*She has mastered the word No!. Last night while she was walking around my Grandparents home visiting everyone, Great Granny asked her to hold her hand so they could go for a walk. I was told Payden looked at her and said, "No!". I sure hope Granny knows Payden says "no" to her parents all the time. It's not personal, she just likes to do her own thing.

*She does not like to be hugged or get kisses. I'm really hoping this is just a phase. Anytime you try to love her she just pushes you away like she's got better things to do. She is learning how to blow kisses though and really likes to do that. I'll take what I can get.
*She claps! At random times and over random things she will get excited and just start clapping. She will also start clapping when we sing Patty Cake.

*She throws tantrums. I have no idea how they learn this at such a young age with little to no outside influence but she knows how to get what she wants. She is already becoming a time-out pro.
*Her top 2 teeth are in. She officially has 4 little chompers. They are just the cutest pearly whites ever and we have started teaching her to brush them. My cousin gave her a special little tooth brush and Payden just loves to chew on it. For now we hope that gets the job done.

*She points. At everything and everyone. I know it's rude but I think it's cute so I let her do it.
*She is not a great eater. These days she loves cheese, bananas, goldfish crackers, grapes and bread and that's what she eats everyday. For some reason she is awful at swallowing her food. She will leave it in her mouth forever and spit it out if she doesn't like it. She also likes to stick out her tongue and show you what's in her mouth. Grandma Goodman denies it but I know she learned that one from her.

*She gets annoyed with our little dog Alley. Alley will come lay down by her or jump on her to get some love but Payden always yells at her and pushes her away. She may have learned that from me.

*Even with the attitude she is still a pretty easy going kiddo. I can take her anywhere and she is content to be my little buddy.

I'm sure there's a lot more that I'm missing. It seems like she does something new everyday. She's like a little sponge absorbing everything around her. I'm counting down the weeks now and will be home with her at the end of this month. I can't wait!

It is amazing how many things babies learn and how quickly! I am glad you will soon get to be home with Payden, there is nothing as rewarding and may I add challenging as being a stay at home mother.
